Karachi: Sit-in with the dead bodies of Mach slain miners in Quetta highway enters the fourth day. Despite several efforts by federal ministers and the provincial government, the protesters refused to negotiate.

The mourners are insistent on the arrival of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

According to the news, the sit-in of 11 victims’ families of the Machh tragedy is continuing with the dead bodies under the open sky as the Hazara community refuses to accede to Sheikh Rashid’s call.

Nonetheless, the mercury dropped to minus 8 degrees Celsius in Quetta and the weather remains extremely harsh.

On Monday night when Sheikh Rashid, the Interior Minister, and Qasim Suri, Deputy Speaker National Assembly, visited for negotiation with the sit-in participants, the family demanded the arrival of the Prime Minister and the resignation of the provincial government.

Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed told the victims’ families that the government is ready to accept all their demands other than the resignation of the provincial government.

Interior Minister also requested to call off the protest and lay the slain bodies to rest.

The mourners of the victims’ of Mach also asked to form a judicial commission on the issue.

Federal Minister Ali Zaidi and Zulfi Bukhari also arrived for talks with the protesters, but the participants refused to end the sit-in and bury the bodies until the arrival of the Prime Minister.
