Imran Khan wins the "best captain" poll set by ICC

Karachi: Imran Khan became the Best Captain in the International Cricket Council Best Captain poll that was started on January 12.

The ICC conducted a poll on Twitter where they asked the cricket lovers to choose the best captain among three other names like India’s Virat Kohli, South Africa’s AB de Villiers, New Zealand’s Meg Lanning, and Pakistan’s Imran Khan

However, the competition with the Indian cricket captain turned out to be neck-to-neck along with the captain Imran Khan.

Ever since then ‘Pakistan shocks India’ has been trending on Twitter from Wednesday morning

Virat Kohli received 46.2 percent votes while Imran Khan garnered 47.3 percent votes. AB de Villiers gained six percent of votes and Lanning got 0.5 percent votes.

Soon the news went viral as the poll became the talk of the town with more than 11,000 tweets.

Regardless of Indian celebrities’ appeal to fans to vote for Kohli, Imran Khan managed to triumph.

Here are the results.

The ICC, besides these tweets, posted the latest Test rankings where Steve Smith transcended one spot ahead of Virat Kohli while Kane Williamson leads the list.
