Karachi: Petrol has been made expensive by Rs 2.70 per liter, as the federal government has issued a notification to increase the prices of petroleum products.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 2.70 per liter after which the new price became Rs 111.90 per liter.

The statement said that the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs 2.88 per liter, after which the new price will be 116 rupees 7 paise. While an increase of Rs 3 per liter in the price of light diesel has been approved and now the new price is Rs 79 23 paise.
It should be noted that during the period of one month, the prices of petroleum products commonly are reviewed twice, while for the month of January, the prices of petroleum products were also increased twice.

According to details, the price of kerosene has been increased by Rs 3.54 per liter. Now the new price has been fixed at Rs 80.19
The new prices will be effective at midnight, 12 am, and as has become a recent practice, the summary is likely to undergo revision before February 15.
