OGRA increases the LNG prices

Karachi: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has notified that the price of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) for the month of February by Rs 142 per MMBtu.

According to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the prices for Sui Northern Gas Company and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Company Limited (SNGPL) have been increased.

According to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority, the price for Sui Northern Gas Company has been increased from Rs. 1401 to Rs. 1542 while the price for Sui Southern Gas Company has been increased from Rs. 1358 to Rs. 1500.

A notification has been released on LNG price per MMBTU for Sui Southern has been increased by Rs. 142 for Sui Northern.

As LNG becomes more expensive, there is a risk of increasing the cost of power generation from LNG-powered power plants, which will fall on consumers.
