Quetta Gladiator match postponed after corona test of PSL player Islamabad United.

A PCB spokesman confirmed that the player was suffering from covid 19. Islamabad United has also confirmed in its tweet that their player Fawad Ahmed’s corona test has come positive.

Australian cricketer Fawad Ahmed has played one match in PSL. All the members of the player’s team have tested negative for corona.

PCB board wrote that the positive player showed symptoms of coronavirus two days ago. The positive player was isolated.

As soon as the result of the Corona test came, there was a panic spread among players and officials of both teams as they prepared to leave for the stadium for the match.

The administration stopped the infected player at the hotel and arranged for a corona test on an emergency basis.

The announcement was made by the PCB after the Islamabad United player’s corona test came positive.

Shortly after the news was circulated the match between the two teams that was scheduled at 9 pm, was postponed.

According to sources, the match has been postponed due to concerns of the players. The match is rescheduled for tomorrow, on Tuesday 2nd March.
