LAHORE: A clip of a young girl proposing to her university friend at the University of Lahore went viral on Twitter.
The viral video shows the woman with her right leg bent, a bouquet of flowers in her hand, pointing to an elated man who then embraces her.
The rare and daring decision of the woman to propose the proposal attracted a huge audience who roared and congratulated the pair in the middle of the film-like scene.

However, after the video went viral, the University of Lahore took notice of the whole event.
On Friday, the Varsity released a letter announcing that the Disciplinary Committee had voted to expel the students.
“A meeting of the Special Disciplinary Committee took place at 10:30 a.m. on 12-3-2021 in the Office of the Rector,” reads the notice.
The notice reads that the two students “were committed a gross misconduct and breach of university laws,” noting that they had been called to the committee but had “failed to attend.”
The Order also claimed that, according to Section 9 of the General Discipline and the Code of Conduct on the Campus, the Committee agreed to remove the two students for disobeying the laws and regulations of the Varsity and for “serious violation of the Code of Conduct.”
“In addition, according to Section 16 […], they are forbidden from accessing the premises of the University of Lahore and all its sub-campuses.”
People are not really happy with what happened at the University
After the video of a girl proposing to his male classmate took University students by storm, Twitter users soon began talking about it too.
Some posted good wishes while others were disgusted by the fact saying, “this is why parents don’t allow us to go to the university and many girls, because of the environment, are deprived of getting an education”.
