KARACHI: Pakistan has witnessed 72 deaths during the last 24 hours.
As per the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC), 3270 new cases of covid-19 emerged in Pakistan within a day.
According to the new data released by the National Command and Operations Centre, there are currently 34,535 active cases in the country, whereas the positivity rate reached 8.22 per cent within the last 24 hours.
However, 39,742 of the total number of tests were conducted across Pakistan while the total number of active cases infections reached 633,741 ever since the emergence of the global pandemic.
Recently, the news had emerged of Prime Minister Imran Khan and the first lady Bushra Bibi contracting the virus. Afterward, they both quarantined themselves.
The news came to light two days after PM Khan and his wife received a jab for coronavirus. Many also speculated the authenticity of the vaccination.
