#Cancelboardexams2021 starts trending on Twitter
KARACHI: The health and education authorities in Pakistan have declined to cancel this year’s board exams as the country faces the third outbreak of the coronavirus.
Last month, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood declared that board exams for grades nine through twelve would be held on time.
The decision has angered students, who believe the government is putting their safety at risk.
Students have repeatedly taken to social media to argue that the government postpones the tests in order to persuade politicians to reverse their decisions.
Students have launched the hashtag #cancelboardexams2021, once again asking the government to postpone the tests.
Many of the tweets featured memes, while others stressed the gravity of the case.
Here are a few examples of reactions:
The exams were canceled for a variety of reasons, according to this person.

Awais was perplexed as to why exams are conducted in Pakistan while they are canceled in the United Kingdom.
How does the issue remain resolved!? Amid corona’s 3rd wave you expect us to sit for Cambridge exams? UK already cancelled it for their students..shows how much our government considers their students health as their “FiRsT pRioRity” #cancelcieexams2021 #cancelboardexams2021
