KARACHI: Pakistan has witnessed the highest covid death toll in 2021 in a day. The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) reported 135 new deaths nationwide.
On Wednesday, NCOC confirmed 135 deaths from the coronavirus, making it the country’s highest single-day death toll in 2021.
According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the 135 new deaths brought the total number of coronavirus deaths in the United States to 15,754.
Pakistan has recorded the largest number of deaths since June 25, 2020.
According to NCOC daily results, Pakistan performed 48,092 COVID-19 checks, of which 4,681 were positive.
The latest cases bring the total number of coronavirus cases in the United States to 734,423. Coronavirus patients that have recovered from the virus account for 641,912 of the total.
Sindh currently has the most cases (269,840), followed by Punjab (255,571), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (101,045 cases), Islamabad (67,491 cases), Balochistan (20,499 cases), Azad Jammu and Kashmir (14,837 cases), and Gilgit Baltistan (5,140 cases).
However, the active cases of the country stand at 76,757.
