Rabia Anum Leaves Nida Yasir’s Show in the Middle
The popular TV and news anchor, Rabia Anum left the Nida Yasir’s show because of Mohsin Abbas Haider.
The morning show host Nida Yasir invited the anchor Rabia Anum, actress Fiza Ali and actor Mohsin Abbas Haider in her show Good Morning Pakistan.
The show began in full swing but when Rabia Anum got to know that Mohsin Abbas Haider will be invited along side her, she took a stand.
Before walking out she said, ‘”I want to apologise beforehand to you, Nida, for what I am about to say.”
She added, ‘You know I love you. This team and this channel are very dear to me. We are talking about childhood mistakes right now but there are some mistakes that stay with you your whole life. I don’t want to make such mistakes here today.’
She made it clear through her words that her statement is directed at actor Mohsin Abbas Haider who was accused of domestic violence by his ex-wife.
Rabia strongly stands against abusers and stands with victims of domestic abuse.
She further went on to say, “There’s an issue close to me, for which I have taken a very strong stance. When I came to your show today, I knew Fiza will be here but I wasn’t informed of any other guests. I have taken a stand against domestic abuse. And I think if my smallest effort can save my daughter, my friend tomorrow, then I have to comply.”
Before stepping out she said, “For this reason, I don’t want to be a part of this show.”
She addressed Nida Yasir who is her friend for a long time in the industry saying, “I know you are an employee of the channel and I know you are very responsible. But if I sat through this show today, I won’t be able to face my friends, my colleagues, or any victim tomorrow. I hope you can forgive me.”
After her walking out, the show still went on with Mohsin Abbas Haider and Fiza Ali in a professional manner.
However, the clip went viral all over the internet and many people applauded Rabia Anum’s stance.
