Karachi: Renowned Industrialist and leader of Business community Shaikh Muhammad Muneer (S.M Muneer, aka Bhai Jan) breathed his last in Karachi.
According to details, he was long been ill and had his kidney transplant previously.
His family informed that Din Group’s chairman’s Namaz e Janaza will be held after Zuhar at 1.30pm on November 29 in Al Hamra Mosque, Karachi.
The family of deceased has asked people to pray for his maghfirat.

Mr. S. M. Muneer was the Chairman of the Din Group of Industries, which includes Din Textile Mills Ltd. The Group’s yearly revenue is roughly US$120 million.
Currently, he was holding the positions of Vice Chairman of MCB Bank Ltd., President of the India-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IPCCI), and Patron-in-Chief of the Korangi Association of Trade & Industry, Karachi.
Din Group has received numerous Best Export Performance Trophies from FPCCI for its largest exports, as well as two Top 25 Companies Awards from the Karachi Stock Exchange from the Prime Minister of Pakistan, all under his energising leadership and missionary passion.
He received the FPCCI’s Best Business Man of the Year Award, the President of Pakistan’s “Sitara-I-ISAAR” in 2006, and the “Sitara-I-IMTIAZ” in 2007. He has twice received the Doctor of Philosophy degree from the Governor of Sindh in Karachi.
He has served as chairman of the All Pakistan Tanners Association for seven consecutive terms, as well as president of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and chairman of MCB Bank Ltd.
