But that’s not the only record he broke. He also added another record in his name on a popular social media platform.
Lionel Messi made another history as he holds the record for having the most-liked picture on Instagram. The picture he shared is of him celebrating and holding the FIFA Worldcup trophy in his hands.
His Instagram post got more than 68 million likes within a couple of hours and the numbers keep rising every minute.
Previously, the most liked picture on Instagram record was held by a simple picture of an egg which got more than 57 million likes.
