Khurram Sher Zaman who is the parliamentary leader of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI) in Sindh Assembly suggested that Karachi needs a completely new policing model.
Karachi is facing an increasing crime rate in different parts of the city. Citizens of Karachi are worried because of this escalating situation.
Moreover, there is an obvious increase in the number of street criminals who openly snatch cash and mobile phones from innocent citizens of Karachi. People feel helpless and if they resist, there’s a chance that robbers will attack them with their guns.
Recently, Cheif Minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah held a press conference to order Sindh police to take control of this crime situation in Karachi in 15 days.
Furthermore, Khurram Sher Zaman of PTI suggests that Karachi needs a new policing model that should be separate from Sindh police system because Karachi needs a metropolitan police system.
He further added that Sindh police’s performance is quite disappointing and they are unable to control the crime rate in Karachi, therefore, Karachi needs a new police model to function in peace, harmony, and without fear.
