Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf has announced to launch nationwide protests on Thursday. PTI decides to start the protests on Friday against the current government and their refusal to early elections.
PTI chairman Imran Khan has been calling for early elections since his ouster from the government in April. Imran Khan has stressed the importance of elections from time to time. However, the current government of Shahbaz Sharif has denied early elections because of difficult situations happening in Pakistan such as; floods, inflation, census, and delimitation.
PTI’s senior vice president, Fawad Chaudhry announced to the journalists about the upcoming protests plan. He said, “From tomorrow, country-wide protests will start against rising inflation, deteriorating economy, and shortage of gas.”
Fawad Chaudhry told the journalists that they have come to this decision after having a high-level meeting with Chairman Imran Khan.
He further mentioned that, “After three weeks, Imran Khan will join the campaign and this process will continue till this government is ousted.”
