Rain Forecasted for Sindh Including Karachi
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz stated that Karachi might experience light to moderate rain today.
The Meteorological Department has forecasted rain today for various parts of Sindh, including Karachi. According to the Met Department, rain is expected today in Karachi, Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, and Tharparkar.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz stated that Karachi might experience light to moderate rain today, with the possibility of heavier rainfall in suburban areas. Sardar Sarfraz added that Karachi’s weather is likely to remain hot in the coming days. Typically, temperatures rise by one degree in September, with the average temperature for the month being 33.5°C.
Meanwhile, rain is also expected in Islamabad, Lahore, Sialkot, Multan, Musa Khel, Sibi, Naseerabad, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Kohistan, Swat, as well as in all provinces, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Destruction from Rains in Balochistan
In Balochistan, details of the damage caused by rains over the past two months have been released.
According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), 39 people have lost their lives in various incidents. Over 900 houses have been completely destroyed, and 7 bridges along with 47 kilometers of roads have been damaged.
