President and PM Highlight Jinnah’s Legacy on 76th Death Anniversary

On the 76th death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif underscored the importance of Jinnah’s guiding principles and vision for Pakistan’s progress. Both leaders emphasized the need to follow Jinnah’s ideals to ensure the country’s prosperity.
President Zardari, in his message to the nation, urged the public to adhere to Jinnah’s principles of “unity, faith, and discipline.” He stated that these principles serve as a guiding light for Pakistan’s development. Zardari emphasized that by following these values, Pakistan can grow stronger and more prosperous, staying true to the founder’s vision.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed similar sentiments, urging the nation to renew its commitment to Jinnah’s vision of a peaceful, just, and equal Pakistan. He called for building a country where peace, justice, and equal opportunities prevail for all citizens, regardless of their background. As part of the observance of Jinnah’s death anniversary, key officials from Sindh, including Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, visited the Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi to pay their respects. They were joined by Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori, Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, and other provincial ministers. The officials laid a floral wreath at Jinnah’s tomb, honoring the founder’s contributions to Pakistan.
In his message, President Zardari paid tribute to Jinnah, highlighting the debt of gratitude the Pakistani nation owes to him for creating a separate homeland for Muslims. He referred to Jinnah as a visionary leader who united the Muslims of India and worked tirelessly for the creation of Pakistan. Zardari pointed out that Jinnah’s vision for Pakistan was based on democratic principles and the equal treatment of all citizens, regardless of religion.

The president further noted that Jinnah’s struggle laid the foundation for Pakistan’s democratic system, and it continues to inspire aspirations for parliamentary democracy and communal harmony today. Zardari stressed the importance of continuing to uphold Jinnah’s ideals.
