PTI Postpones Protest to September 21

The protest is part of PTI's ongoing efforts to pressure the government for snap elections.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has postponed its planned protest, which was originally scheduled for September 13, to September 21. The announcement came on Thursday, with party leaders confirming the new date for the demonstration.

PTI leader Salman Akram Raja stated, “We will definitely hold the gathering on September 21, whether we get the NOC or not. We are not afraid and are ready to face jail.” He added that the party intends to use all available platforms to register their protest.

The protest is part of PTI’s ongoing efforts to pressure the government for snap elections, a demand the party has repeatedly made in recent months.

Call for Snap Elections

A few days ago, PTI leader Omar Ayub reiterated the party’s demand for early elections. He emphasized the significance of the current political situation, saying, “September 9 was the blackest day in the country’s history. The parliament was attacked during the last night and early morning.”

Ayub expressed his frustration with former National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, accusing him of allowing unauthorized entry into the parliament. “I have complained to Ayaz Sadiq about how he gave permission for entry,” Ayub lamented.

PTI continues to push for early elections, positioning the protests as a key element of their political strategy. The party’s leadership remains determined to challenge the current government and its policies, using public demonstrations to build pressure.

The rescheduled protest on September 21 is expected to draw significant attention as PTI moves forward with its agenda.
