Similar Incident of Emergency Landing
This incident follows a similar event in August. On August 27, an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 cargo plane made an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport. The plane, en route from Addis Ababa to Ahmedabad, India, was unable to land at its intended destination.
Aviation sources revealed that the Ethiopian Airlines flight diverted after it could not land at Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport for unknown reasons. The Air Traffic Control (ATC) in Ahmedabad instructed the pilot to perform a go-around at 1,500 feet.
Unable to land, the pilot redirected the flight to Karachi, ensuring a safe landing.
