Babar Azam Turns 30: Cricketers Shower Praise and Birthday Wishes

Share the latest news updates

Former Pakistan cricket captain and star batter Babar Azam has turned 30. Fellow cricketers are showering him with birthday wishes, praising his determination and success in the sport.

Babar is currently taking a break during the second and third matches of the ongoing Test series between Pakistan and England. This marks the first time Babar has been dropped from the national team since his white-ball debut against Zimbabwe in 2015 and his Test debut against the West Indies in 2016.

Babar rose to prominence in 2016 when he scored three consecutive centuries in an ODI series against the West Indies. Five years later, he replaced India’s Virat Kohli as the world’s number one ODI batsman, a ranking he still holds today, although he briefly lost it in between. Two years ago, Babar was at the peak of his career, excelling in all three formats of the game. However, his performance in Test matches has recently declined, causing him to drop out of the world’s top 10 rankings for this format.

Teammates Wishes

On his 30th birthday, Babar’s teammates did not miss the chance to celebrate him. Players like Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Aamir Jamal, and Salman Ali Agha took to social media to wish the former captain well.
