Share the latest news updates

Asma Abbas recently celebrated the Dua e Khair of her son, Ahmed Abbas Gill. Zara Noor Abbas, Ahmed’s sister, shared pictures from the event on social media. Unfortunately, the photos sparked negative reactions from social media users. Trolls targeted Ahmed’s complexion, commenting that his skin tone was darker compared to Zara Noor Abbas and Asma Abbas.

The harsh comments upset the family, especially Asma Abbas, who decided to address the issue publicly. Speaking out against the trolls, she shared how hurtful their remarks had been. “Ahmed went to Thailand with his friends before the Dua e Khair. Social media users trolled him for his sun-tanned skin,” Asma explained. She emphasized that it is normal for skin to darken after exposure to the sun, particularly during vacations.

However, the online trolling didn’t stop there. Many commenters made unkind remarks, comparing Ahmed’s complexion to that of his mother and sister. Some said things like, “These actresses are beautiful and fair-skinned, but they marry darker men.” Others made even crueler comments, suggesting that Ahmed looked like a drug addict or noting that his wife was beautiful but his skin tone was noticeably darker.

Asma Abbas revealed that the trolling had deeply affected her son. He even asked her why she had shared his photos online. “He asked me, ‘Why did you post my pictures on Instagram?’” she recounted. In response, she tried to comfort him, reminding him not to take the comments to heart. “People will always have something to say,” she told him. She also reassured her son that his tanned skin was only temporary, resulting from his vacation, and that he shouldn’t let the criticism bother him.

Asma’s message to the trolls was clear and direct. She urged people to be more thoughtful about their words, especially when it comes to personal attacks. “You guys have trolled him a lot,” she added, expressing her disappointment in the online community’s harsh judgment. The incident highlighted the toxic nature of online trolling and the emotional toll it can take on individuals and their families.

Despite the negativity, the family remained strong, with Asma and her children supporting each other through the ordeal. By speaking out, Asma Abbas hoped to shed light on the damaging effects of such comments and encourage kindness and respect in online spaces. Her response served as a reminder that everyone deserves compassion, and that harsh judgments based on appearance are harmful and unnecessary.
