Adar Poonawalla Acquires 50% Stake in Karan Johar’s Dharma

In a significant development, Adar Poonawalla acquired a 50% stake in Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Dharmatic Entertainment. Together, these companies form Dharma. Poonawalla’s firm, Serene Entertainment, finalized the deal for ₹1,000 crore. Meanwhile, Karan Johar retained the other 50% ownership and will continue to lead the company’s creative vision as Executive Chairman. Additionally, Apoorva Mehta will serve as Chief Executive Officer. He will work closely with Karan to steer the strategic direction and ensure operational excellence.
Adar Poonawalla expressed enthusiasm about this new partnership.
