Pakistan’s Foreign Office Condemns Israeli Actions
On Tuesday, Pakistan’s Foreign Office (FO) condemned Israel’s actions. They labeled it a violation of the UN Charter and international law. The FO criticized Israel’s campaign against humanitarian aid for Palestinians.
“Preventing UNRWA from carrying out its vital tasks is a manifestation of Israel’s systematic campaign to deny the much-needed humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people,” stated the FO.
Call for Global Intervention
The FO called for action from the international community, especially the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). It stressed UNRWA’s importance and demanded Israel allow its operations under UN General Assembly Resolution 302 (IV) of 1949. This resolution emphasizes the UN’s duty to aid Palestinian refugees.
Pakistan Calls for Ceasefire and Aid
Pakistan reiterated its demand for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. The FO urged quick delivery of humanitarian aid to relieve Gaza’s suffering people. Pakistan emphasized that the global community has a duty to ensure aid reaches those in Palestine without barriers.
