Pakistani Film actress Nargis has reportedly suffered assault by her husband, Inspector Majid Bashir, in Lahore’s Defence area. The altercation reportedly stemmed from a financial dispute between the couple.
According to police, Nargis visited the police station late at night following the incident. However, she has not filed a formal complaint against her husband. Police also stated that they have not received any requests for a case from Nargis’s family, including her brother.
Nargis’s brother, Khurram, has alleged that Inspector Bashir abuses her regularly. He informed the police by calling the emergency number 15, which prompted a swift response in Defence.

Police have assured they are prepared to act if a formal complaint is lodged. An officer said, “We are ready to take action should Nargis choose to report the incident.”
Nargis, known off-screen as Ghazala Idris, married Inspector Bashir several years ago. She left the film industry to focus on managing her beauty salon. However, family members claim that her married life is marred by frequent violence.
This incident has raised public concern, with many questioning the legal response to domestic violence cases.
