COAS Meets Saudi Crown Prince on Defence Cooperation

RIYADH: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir met with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad Bin Salman, to discuss defence and security cooperation. The discussions, held at the Royal Palace, focused on strengthening ties in regional peace and security, alongside enhancing bilateral relations.

Warm Welcome at the Royal Palace

Upon his arrival at the Royal Palace, Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman warmly welcomed General Munir. This official visit signifies ongoing cooperation and the deep-rooted relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

COAS Munir expressed gratitude to the Crown Prince for his consistent support for Pakistan. He also acknowledged the Crown Prince’s important role in promoting peace and stability within the region.

In addition to his meeting with the Crown Prince, COAS Munir held discussions with Prince Khalid Bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s Defence Minister. The leaders reiterated their intention to enhance cooperation in defence sectors, exploring ways to develop joint projects and initiatives.

General Munir also met with Engineer Talal Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Assistant Minister of Defence, as well as Air Chief Marshal Fayyadh Bin Hamed Bin Raqeeb Al Ruwaili, Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Saudi Armed Forces. These meetings reinforced Pakistan and Saudi Arabia’s shared commitment to building robust defence partnerships.
