RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed five terrorists in a fierce firefight in Karama, South Waziristan. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the terrorists died due to the forces’ swift and accurate engagement. These terrorists were active in the region, threatening local security.
Four security personnel embraced martyrdom in the intense exchange of fire. They defended their homeland heroically. The martyrs include:
Naib Subedar Taib Shah (38) from District Tank, with 20 years of service.
Lance Naik Gulab Zaman (30) from District Karak, served for nine years.
Lance Naik Muzammil Mehmood (30) from District Karak, served for seven years.
Lance Naik Habibullah (28) from District Orakzai, also served for seven years.
These soldiers’ sacrifices emphasize their dedication to Pakistan’s security and peace.
ISPR stated that a sanitization operation is underway to clear the area of any remaining terrorists. The forces are committed to wiping out all threats from the region. The recent sacrifices, they said, strengthen the troops’ resolve to eliminate terrorism and secure Pakistan.
President and Prime Minister Honor the Martyrs
Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces in South Waziristan. In separate messages, they honored the martyred soldiers for their bravery and sacrifice. The leaders also extended condolences to the soldiers’ families and prayed for patience for the grieving families.
Both leaders affirmed that these soldiers’ sacrifices will never be forgotten. They prayed for the martyrs’ elevation in Jannah and expressed gratitude for their service.
