Sindh Forms Joint Investigation Team After Attack on Chinese Nationals

The Sindh Home Department has formed an eight-member Joint Investigation Team (JIT) In response to the attack on Chinese nationals. The JIT is tasked with investigating the attack, which left two Chinese nationals dead and several others injured due to a blast.

The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) will lead the investigation. The team includes officers from the Rangers, Special Branch, Karachi Police, and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

Arrests and Investigation

The suspects, identified as Javed and Gul Nisa, were arrested in Sindh and Balochistan. The JIT will interrogate them and examine their involvement in the attack, aiming to uncover the broader motives and possible conspiracy behind the assault on foreign nationals.

The investigation is considered crucial in identifying any organized network behind the attack and ensuring accountability.

The JIT has been given a strict 15-day deadline to conduct the investigation and submit its findings to the Sindh Home Department. This time-sensitive investigation is aimed at bringing clarity to the events and preventing similar incidents in the future.
