The by-election is being held following the vacancy of the PP-139 seat after the death of Rana Afzal Hussain. Hussain had previously won the seat in a by-election after Rana Tanveer Hussain vacated it. Official Notification Issued

Election Officials Appointed

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has appointed Shahid Imran Marth, Deputy Commissioner of Sheikhupura, as the District Returning Officer for the by-election. Supporting him are Usman Jalees, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), serving as the Returning Officer, and Muhammad Adeel Khan, Assistant Commissioner of Ferozewala, along with Rana Bakhtiar Ahmad, Deputy District Education Officer of Ferozewala, acting as Assistant Returning Officers.
