Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have escalated dramatically, killing 48 Palestinians and wounding over 200 in a single day, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health. The ongoing attacks have targeted critical areas, including hospitals and shelters, leaving civilians trapped in increasingly dire conditions. These strikes highlight the growing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where access to food, water, and medical aid remains severely restricted.
Hospitals Under Attack
In one of the most harrowing developments, Israeli forces bombed Kamal Adwan Hospital, injuring patients, including a man in a wheelchair. Witnesses described blood covering the hospital’s floors and civilians sprawled at its entrance, desperately seeking safety.
Earlier, Israeli forces targeted water tanks at the Indonesian Hospital, which currently shelters displaced families. Nearby, seven Palestinians were killed in an airstrike on a residential building. The attacks underscore the unrelenting assault on northern Gaza’s infrastructure, leaving medical facilities struggling to operate under relentless bombardment.
‘Safe Zones’ No Longer Safe
The so-called “safe zones” in Gaza’s al-Mawasi area have also become targets. Israeli airstrikes hit the densely populated area, killing 21 people and injuring dozens more. Smoke from the attack still lingers as the destruction lays bare shattered belongings, burned educational materials, and remnants of food supplies. These items, left behind by displaced families, highlight the catastrophic toll on civilians, including children.
Witnesses reported no warning before the airstrikes, emphasizing the vulnerability of civilians who had sought refuge after evacuating from northern Gaza. “There are no shelters left that can be called safe,” said one resident, summing up the despair engulfing the enclave.
Forced Evacuations and Rising Casualties
Israeli forces continue to enforce “leave-or-die” evacuation orders in northern Gaza. Displaced families, primarily women and children, have been fired upon by drones as they attempt to flee to southern areas. Despite international pleas for a ceasefire, the violence shows no signs of abating.
Adding to the toll, a residential building in Beit Lahiya was bombed, killing 15 people. These strikes, combined with attacks on northern and central Gaza, point to an intensifying campaign with devastating consequences for civilians.

Fuel Shortages Halt Humanitarian Aid
The humanitarian crisis is compounded by a crippling fuel shortage. Gaza’s Civil Defence Directorate has warned that essential services, including fire and rescue operations, may soon cease. Thirteen of 22 fire vehicles in southern Gaza are already non-operational, further jeopardizing rescue efforts.
Despite appeals, international organizations have withheld fuel under Israeli restrictions. This decision has left aid agencies unable to reach thousands of displaced Palestinians in need of food, water, and shelter.

With hospitals under fire, fuel supplies depleted, and no safe zones left, the situation grows increasingly dire.
