Trade Exhibitions to Foster Collaboration
The Deputy High Commissioner revealed plans for an exhibition in Hyderabad. The event will facilitate importers and exporters from both countries and is organized in collaboration with the HCSTSI. Traders are also invited to the Annual Trade Exhibition in Dhaka, scheduled for January 2025. He assured streamlined visa processes to encourage participation.

HCSTSI President Muhammad Saleem Memon highlighted the strong historic ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh. He praised recent trade developments, including the first-ever direct cargo shipment from Pakistan to Bangladesh. Memon stressed the importance of fostering economic collaboration through mutual efforts.
Calls for Direct Trade Lines and Policy Reforms
Memon urged Bangladeshi traders to take part in Pakistani trade expos. He called for resolving customs clearance delays in Dhaka, which hamper trade. He proposed establishing direct trade lines and implementing simpler visa policies to boost trade and strengthen economic ties.
