MDCAT 2024 Retake Conducted Under Strict Security in Sindh

The MDCAT 2024 retake is being conducted today across Sindh under stringent security measures. Organized by IBA Sukkur, this retest aims to ensure transparency and fairness following court directives. With over 38,000 students participating, authorities have implemented robust procedures to prevent malpractice and provide a seamless testing experience.

Test Details and Format

The retake spans three and a half hours and took place at multiple locations, including Karachi, Sukkur, Jamshoro, Hyderabad, and Larkana. Prominent centers in Karachi include NED University and the University of Karachi. The paper comprises 200 multiple-choice questions, meticulously prepared and safeguarded to ensure integrity.

Dr. Asif Shaikh, Vice-Chancellor of Sukkur IBA, emphasized the measures in place to prevent cheating or paper leaks. “Special teams have been assigned to oversee the test, and the papers are secured with the highest level of precaution,” he stated.

Entry and Verification Protocols

Authorities have designated specific entry points at each test center to streamline access for candidates:

  • Karachi University: Metroville Gate, Maskan Gate, Shaikh Zaid Gate
  • IBA Public School Sukkur: Gate No. 3
  • Jamshoro Mehran University: Gate No. 2
  • Hyderabad Public School Latifabad: Central Gate
  • Police Training School Larkana: Main Gate

Candidates must bring their original Admit Slips and one of the following documents for verification:

  • CNIC
  • Juvenile Card
  • Passport
  • Matriculation Marksheet
  • Intermediate Marksheet

To maintain test decorum, authorities have prohibited electronic gadgets, including mobile phones and smartwatches, within the premises.

Security and Transparency Measures

The retake reflects a commitment to ensuring a fair assessment for all participants. Testing centers are operating under tight security, and all necessary arrangements have been made to prevent disruptions.

The Vice-Chancellor assured students and parents that the retake would proceed smoothly. “We are leaving no room for irregularities. The focus is on maintaining fairness and providing candidates with a stress-free environment,” Dr. Shaikh reiterated.
