Share the latest news updates

Islamabad: The government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) may engage in talks today. Government sources claim that PTI initiated contact for dialogue. This marks a potential thaw in the tense political climate.

Prime Minister’s Political Advisor Rana Sanaullah confirmed the contact but clarified there were no formal negotiations yet. Meanwhile, PTI Secretary of Information Sheikh Waqas Akram acknowledged communication with the government but denied the start of formal talks.

PTI Withdraws Preconditions for Dialogue

According to sources, PTI has stepped back from its initial preconditions for talks. This move is seen as a gesture to foster a conducive environment for negotiations. Government insiders believe this could pave the way for a breakthrough.

A government official stated, “In politics, dialogue is the only way forward, not chaos. This is a positive sign for national stability.”

Committees to Tackle Political Issues

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar emphasized the need for lasting solutions. He revealed that a committee had been formed within PTI to address political issues. “A permanent solution must be found to resolve political conflicts,” Gohar said.

The government, too, is reportedly open to the idea of structured negotiations. However, officials maintain that talks must be held in good faith and without preconditions.

Confusion Over Statements

The situation remains unclear due to contradictory statements from both sides. While PTI acknowledges contact, it denies the start of formal discussions. The government echoes similar sentiments, emphasizing initial communication but no formal dialogue.
