Second Innings

After being forced to follow on, Pakistan’s Shan Masood and Babar Azam set a new partnership record in Test cricket.

Their 205-run opening stand in the second innings against South Africa is now the highest opening partnership ever by a team following on in Test cricket history.

Additionally, this partnership is the highest opening stand by Pakistan in South Africa in Test cricket.

Previously, the record for Pakistan’s highest opening partnership in South Africa was held by Saeed Anwar and Aamir Sohail, who scored 101 runs against South Africa on their home soil in 1998.
