Matthew Perry’s Pacific Palisades Home Survives
Matthew Perry’s former home in Pacific Palisades, where the Friends star tragically passed away in October 2023, has been spared from the fierce Los Angeles wildfires. The house, which had sentimental value for Perry, was saved due to the collective efforts of the community. The news comes as a relief to many, as the fires have wreaked havoc across Southern California.
A Community’s Heroic Efforts
Anita Verma-Lallian, the current owner of the property, confirmed the survival of the home in an Instagram post on Friday. Verma-Lallian expressed deep gratitude to the firefighters and the Palisades community for their dedicated efforts. She thanked the neighbors, firefighters, and all those who played a role in ensuring the property’s safety during this challenging time.
Verma-Lallian purchased the property in October 2024 for $8.55 million, in an off-market deal.
The Fire’s Devastating Path
The Palisades Fire, one of the three major wildfires currently raging across Southern California, has burned more than 15,000 acres and destroyed over 1,000 structures. Despite being dangerously close to Perry’s former home, the residence survived intact. The fire had reached the property’s perimeter earlier this week, putting it at risk. However, thanks to the tireless efforts of the local community and emergency responders, the house was preserved.
Verma-Lallian also acknowledged her realtor, Brooke Elliott Laurinkus, for her vigilance in monitoring the property. Laurinkus worked hard to ensure the house remained safe and kept the family updated on the ongoing crisis. Laurinkus also assisted those in need of temporary shelter during the fires, showing immense dedication during the disaster.

Personal Touches on a Cherished Home
Perry purchased the home in 2020 for $6 million and had made significant renovations, including custom interior designs and personal touches. The home featured artwork that reflected Perry’s love for his favorite superhero, Batman. These additions made the house a personal and meaningful place for the actor, adding to the emotional significance of the property.
Moving Forward Amid the Tragedy
Though the fires have caused immense loss in Southern California, Perry’s former home stands as a testament to the strength of the local community. With the help of brave firefighters and dedicated residents, the property has survived. As the region works to rebuild and recover from the devastation, Verma-Lallian and her family, along with many others, will continue to support one another through these difficult times.
