Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has vowed to take firm and decisive action against any threats to Pakistan’s peace and security. During a visit to Peshawar on Monday, he met with political leaders from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to discuss ongoing efforts to maintain regional stability and strengthen the fight against terrorism.
Commitment to Peace and Security
General Munir emphasized that adversaries trying to create fear and chaos would face a strong and unwavering response. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), he was received by the Corps Commander Peshawar upon his arrival and was briefed on the current security landscape. This included updates on counterterrorism operations targeting extremist groups like the “Khawarij” and other threats.
He commended the Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies for their sacrifices and achievements in the battle against terrorism. The COAS highlighted that significant progress had been made in dismantling terrorist networks, eliminating key leaders, and weakening their operational capabilities.

General Munir reassured the nation that Pakistan’s fight against terrorism would continue until its logical conclusion. “The enemy may attempt to spread fear, but we will respond with strength and determination,” he declared.
