Security forces successfully neutralized an Afghan national linked to terrorism during an operation in the Sambaza area of Balochistan’s Zhob district, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday. The operation, which underscores Pakistan’s commitment to combatting cross-border terrorism, highlights ongoing tensions with Afghanistan over the use of its soil for such activities.
Afghan National Identified
The terrorist was identified as Muhammad Khan Ahmedkhel, son of Haji Qasim Dawran Khan, and a resident of Bilorai Village in Paktika Province, Afghanistan. The operation, conducted on January 11, 2025, resulted in Ahmedkhel’s death. After completing necessary formalities, his body was handed over to Afghan officials on Monday.
The ISPR emphasized that incidents like this are clear evidence of Afghan nationals’ involvement in terrorist activities within Pakistan.

Pakistan has consistently raised concerns about the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) using Afghan territory to launch attacks.
