Bahria Town Management Takes Action

Upon receiving the email, Khalilur Rehman, Vice Chief Executive of Bahria Town, took swift action and approached Abpara Police Station to file a complaint. He reported that Malik Riaz had been threatened with the demand for Bitcoin. The police were informed that if the extortion amount was not paid, Riaz and his family would be harmed.

Suspicious Activity Near Malik Riaz’s Residence

In a concerning turn of events, on January 27, a suspected individual was seen near the residence of Malik Riaz’s daughter, which is also the house where Riaz resides. At 11:15 am, the individual was spotted riding a motorcycle outside the house. The person appeared to be conducting surveillance, taking pictures of the house. This raised fears of a potential escalation in the threats.

The sighting of the suspected individual further intensified the already tense situation. The authorities are investigating this incident as part of the ongoing probe into the extortion case.

Threatening Email’s Origin Still Under Investigation

While the email’s sender appeared to be based in Switzerland according to the email ID, the circumstances of the case suggest the possibility that the threat originated from within Pakistan. The police are looking into these discrepancies to uncover the truth behind the origin of the threatening message.

Authorities are working to trace the identity of the person responsible for sending the email and carrying out the surveillance around Malik Riaz’s home. The police have assured that the case is being handled with full seriousness and priority.
