Share the latest news updates

The federal government has taken a significant step to ease the financial burden on pilgrims. It has slashed Hajj package costs, offering relief to thousands of devotees. This reduction is expected to bring comfort and joy to those preparing for their sacred journey. The government’s decision aims to make the Hajj pilgrimage more affordable, especially for those who face financial challenges. It is part of a broader effort to support citizens who wish to fulfill this important religious duty.

New Hajj Package Costs

The Ministry of Religious Affairs, headed by Minister Chaudhary Salik Hussain, has announced the new reduced prices. The cost of the 40-day Hajj package has been reduced by Rs25,000, bringing the price down to Rs10,50,000. Previously, the long package cost Rs1,075,000. The 25-day short Hajj package has seen an even greater reduction of Rs50,000, now priced at Rs11,00,000, down from Rs1,150,000. These reductions are a part of the government’s strategy to make Hajj more accessible and affordable for all Pakistani pilgrims. By reducing the financial barrier, the government is ensuring that more people can undertake this life-changing journey.

Successful Negotiations with Saudi Authorities

The reduction in costs follows successful negotiations with Saudi authorities. A government committee worked tirelessly to secure these lower prices for Pakistani pilgrims. Their efforts have paved the way for improved facilities and more affordable packages. One government official aptly stated, “When faith meets opportunity, every journey becomes a sacred blessing.” This reflects the spirit behind the negotiations and the positive outcome for all involved.

Payment Deadline & Hajj App

Pilgrims who are participating in Hajj this year must make their third installment payment soon. The payment deadline is between February 6 and 14. For the long Hajj package, the amount due is Rs450,000, while the short package requires a payment of Rs500,000. Pilgrims can make their payments at designated banks. To ensure smooth communication, the government has introduced the “Pak Hajj” mobile app. This app will provide updates and essential information, guiding pilgrims throughout the process. The app is designed to keep everything organized, ensuring that the pilgrimage experience is as seamless as possible.

Refund for Previous Pilgrims

The government is also addressing financial concerns from last year’s Hajj pilgrims. A total of Rs4.75 billion will be refunded to those who performed Hajj in the previous year. This refund will be distributed across seven different categories, helping pilgrims who had already paid for their journey. This move shows the government’s dedication not only to improving future pilgrimages but also to rectifying any financial issues from previous years. The refund further strengthens the commitment to ensuring fairness and support for all pilgrims.

Pakistan-Saudi Hajj Agreement 2025

In addition to the reduced costs, a new Hajj agreement has been signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia for 2025. Under this agreement, 179,210 Pakistani pilgrims will be able to perform Hajj. The agreement guarantees the best possible facilities for Pakistani pilgrims. Special accommodations in Mina will be offered at reduced rates, ensuring a comfortable stay for all. This historic collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia reflects the shared goal of providing a safe, comfortable, and spiritually enriching experience for pilgrims. The agreement will pave the way for improved services and a more organized pilgrimage.

Short Hajj Program & New Facilities

To further enhance the pilgrimage experience, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has introduced a 20 to 25-day short Hajj program. This option provides a more flexible and time-efficient alternative to the traditional 40-day program. In addition, the ministry has added several new facilities to make the journey more comfortable. Pilgrims will have access to flexible accommodation options in Madina for 4 to 8 days. The ministry has also designed special bags for pilgrims, featuring the Pakistani flag and QR codes for easy identification. These bags are equipped with relevant information to assist pilgrims throughout their journey.

Furthermore, a comprehensive mobile app has been launched to support the pilgrims. The app will provide flight details, training schedules, group information, live maps, and more. This will ensure that pilgrims are well-informed and able to navigate their journey smoothly. With all these improvements, the government is committed to providing a comfortable, convenient, and affordable Hajj experience for all Pakistani pilgrims.
