Ranveer Allahbadia Summoned

The Maharashtra Cyber Unit has summoned Allahbadia to record his statement on February 24 over the obscene remarks he made during the show.

India’s Got Latent is a roast comedy show hosted by Samay Raina. Celebrities who have appeared on the show include Rakhi Sawant, Bharti Singh, Uorfi Javed, and Raghu Ram.

Backlash and Apologies

The controversy erupted after Ranveer Allahbadia’s comments in a recent episode sparked massive backlash. A formal complaint was filed against Allahbadia, social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija, comedian Samay Raina, and the show’s organizers.

Following the outrage, Raina announced on Instagram that he had removed all India’s Got Latent videos from his channel.

“Everything that has been happening is too much for me to handle. My only objective was to entertain people. I will fully cooperate with the authorities to ensure a fair inquiry,” he stated.

Ranveer Allahbadia also posted an apology video on X, acknowledging that his comments were inappropriate and lacked humor.

“My comment wasn’t just inappropriate—it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am here to say sorry,” he admitted.

He also addressed concerns about his influence on young audiences, vowing to be more responsible in the future.
