The iconic James Bond franchise will now be under Amazon MGM Studios’ creative control after long-time producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson announced their decision to step back.

Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, who inherited the Bond empire from Albert “Cubby” Broccoli, confirmed they will remain co-owners of the franchise. However, Amazon MGM Studios, established after Amazon’s acquisition of Bond’s parent studio in 2022, will now guide the creative direction.
In their statement, Wilson reflected on his long tenure, saying: “With my 007 career spanning nearly 60 incredible years, I am stepping back from producing the James Bond films to focus on art and charitable projects. Barbara and I agree it is time for our trusted partner, Amazon MGM Studios, to lead James Bond into the future.”
