The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 Event Technical Committee approved Imam-ul-Haq’s inclusion as a replacement for Fakhar. Under ICC rules, player replacements require official approval before being added to the squad.
Imam, who was already part of the Pakistan Shaheens squad, showcased his form by scoring 98 runs in a recent warm-up match against South Africa. His solid performance and experience make him a strong addition to Pakistan’s top-order batting lineup.
