The accords were finalized during Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s first official visit to Pakistan. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the crown prince at Nur Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi, where high-ranking officials, including Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, were also present.
Agreements to Boost Key Sectors
The agreements cover various sectors, including banking, railways, mining, and infrastructure investment. The prime minister and the crown prince witnessed the signing ceremony, where officials from both sides exchanged pre-signed agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).
These agreements aim to deepen economic collaboration and attract foreign investment. The UAE is already one of Pakistan’s largest trading partners in the Middle East and a major source of remittances. Strengthening these ties is expected to benefit both economies.
