Renowned actor Sajid Hasan has spoken out against the drug trafficking charges against his son, Sahir Hasan, calling them “fabricated” and a deliberate attempt to shift focus from the Mustafa Amir murder case. He claims the police falsely implicated Sahir to protect the prime suspect, Armaghan.
Unlawful Arrest and Allegations
Sajid Hasan strongly condemned his son’s arrest, calling it a violation of his rights. Two days ago, a judicial magistrate sent Sahir to jail on judicial remand while police continued their investigation.
An interrogation report alleged that Sahir had been using drugs for 13 years and began selling imported substances two years ago. Authorities claimed he received payments through his father’s manager’s bank account. The report also mentioned two other suspects, Bazil and Yahya, who allegedly sent drugs to Sahir via courier.

Fabricated Case and Lack of Evidence
Sajid Hasan rejected these claims, stating that no drugs or contraband were recovered from his son. He accused the police of violating legal procedures by raiding their home without a warrant and failing to record the search, arrest, and alleged seizure, as required by law.
“When no evidence was found, they fabricated an FIR to justify this blatant violation of his rights,” Sajid stated. He also dismissed the police’s claim of recovering 557 grams of marijuana from Sahir as entirely false.
A Smokescreen for the Real Culprits?
Sajid believes his son’s arrest is a ploy to divert media and public attention from Armaghan, the main suspect in Mustafa Amir’s murder. He insisted that his son must not be made a scapegoat to shield the real criminals.
The case took a dramatic turn when Armaghan allegedly opened fire on an Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) team during a raid at his residence in Karachi’s DHA earlier this month. The AVCC was investigating the disappearance of Mustafa Amir, a BBA student who went missing on January 6.
Days later, police found Mustafa’s body inside a car near the Hub checkpost. The Edhi Foundation buried the body on January 16. However, authorities later exhumed it for DNA testing, confirming Mustafa’s identity.
Appeal for Justice
Sajid Hasan expressed faith in the judiciary, hoping it would see through what he called a “baseless case” and clear his son of all charges. He also criticized sections of the media for misreporting the situation and spreading misinformation that defamed his family.
The actor urged the authorities to conduct an impartial investigation and ensure justice prevails. “This is a grave miscarriage of justice,” he asserted, demanding transparency in the case.
While the controversy unfolds, Sahir Hasan remains behind bars, awaiting his fate in a case that has drawn widespread public attention.
