Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has urged students to focus on their responsibilities and avoid baseless criticism. Speaking at the CMH Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) in Bahawalpur, he emphasized self-responsibility and the importance of contributing to the nation’s progress.

Call for Self-Responsibility

General Munir stressed that youth must dedicate themselves to their duties instead of engaging in negative rhetoric. He warned that social media is being misused to spread false narratives against state institutions, creating division and unrest. He encouraged students to focus on personal growth and academic excellence rather than distractions.

Empowering the Youth

The army chief highlighted the military’s role in nurturing young talent and shaping Pakistan’s future. He reassured students of the army’s commitment to supporting initiatives that empower the next generation. Promoting Patriotism

During his address, General Munir called for a strong sense of Pakistaniat (national identity). He reminded students of the sacrifices made for the country, emphasizing that Pakistan is a precious blessing filled with opportunities. He urged youth to remember their ancestors’ struggles and uphold core societal values.

Tackling Misinformation and Security Threats

General Munir also addressed security concerns, noting that terrorism is backed by organized illegal networks. These groups, he said, rely on false narratives to manipulate public opinion when the state takes action against them. He reiterated the army’s commitment to eliminating threats that undermine national stability.

The military has previously condemned politically backed illegal activities that harm Pakistan’s economy and security. General Munir reinforced the resolve to eradicate such activities, ensuring national security remains a top priority.

Advancing Education and Military Readiness

During his visit, General Munir inaugurated Innovista Cholistan and the Integrated Combat Simulator Arena. These projects focus on enhancing medical education, information technology, and combat readiness. He also met with officers and troops at Bahawalpur Cantonment, where he emphasized that rigorous training is key to tackling modern warfare challenges.

A Vision for a Stronger Pakistan

General Munir’s message was clear: Pakistan’s strength lies in its youth. By staying committed to education, discipline, and patriotism, they can shape a better future. He urged them to rise above distractions, reject misinformation, and focus on building a stronger nation
