FIA Seeks Court Warrant in High-Profile Mustafa Amir Murder Case

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has intensified its probe into the Mustafa Amir murder case, seeking a court-issued search warrant for a house linked to the investigation. Authorities aim to gather further evidence and question individuals associated with the crime.

FIA Investigates Key Leads

FIA officials stated they will collaborate with police investigators handling the case to assess all available evidence. A detailed review of information collected from the house is also part of their plan.

Additionally, FIA’s Anti-Money Laundering and Cybercrime Circles have joined forces to track financial transactions and digital trails tied to the crime.

Crackdown on Prime Suspect’s Assets

The FIA has imposed a 90-day freeze on all bank accounts and properties belonging to Armaghan, the prime suspect in the case. Investigators are also scrutinizing individuals linked to financial dealings through Armaghan’s accounts.

Authorities have formally requested the CIA for any intelligence indicating Armaghan’s involvement in money laundering. A forensic investigation is underway to analyze digital evidence potentially linking him to cybercrime activities.

Government Orders Comprehensive Inquiry

The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Interior has directed both the FIA and the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) to accelerate their investigations. The FIA Cyber Crime Wing has already begun its probe following the committee’s orders.

A high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s House in Sindh, chaired by CM Murad Ali Shah, reviewed the case’s progress. Senior officials from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC), and Special Investigation Unit (SIU) provided updates on ongoing efforts.

Special Investigation Committee Formed

To ensure a thorough investigation, DIG Javed Alam Odho has assembled a six-member special committee under DIG CIA Muqaddas Haider. Other key members include:

  • SSP CTD Irfan Bahadur
  • SSP AVCC Anil Haider
  • SSP Investigation East Alina Rajpar

This special task force will work on dismantling the network behind the murder, focusing on both criminal and financial aspects of the case.

The FIA’s next step is securing the court-approved search warrant, which could lead to crucial new evidence and arrests in the ongoing investigation.
