The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather warning for the upcoming week, predicting thunderstorms, heavy rain, and snowfall across various regions.
The PMD forecasts significant rainfall and snowfall in northern regions, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Murree, Galyat, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir. These areas will likely experience continuous wet weather, leading to colder temperatures and potential travel disruptions.
Between March 10 and March 16, cities such as Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Sialkot, and Faisalabad are expected to receive moderate to heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms. Residents should prepare for strong winds, possible flooding, and disruptions in daily activities.

By March 14 and 15, the storm system is likely to extend into Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Okara, Bhakkar, and Multan. These areas may experience heavy downpours, which could impact transportation and infrastructure.
Authorities have warned that rain and snowfall in Murree and Galyat could disrupt traffic flow and increase the risk of landslides and avalanches in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However travelers heading to these regions are urged to take necessary precautions and stay updated on weather alerts.
