
Pakistani security forces eliminated nine militants in two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The operations targeted terrorist hideouts, demonstrating the military’s commitment to eradicating terrorism.
Seven Militants Killed in Mohmand District
The first operation took place in Mohmand District, where intelligence reports indicated the presence of militants. Security forces launched a raid, engaging in heavy combat. As a result, seven militants were killed.
During the operation, two soldiers lost their lives in the line of duty. Havildar Muhammad Zahid (37) from Malakand and Sepoy Aftab Ali Shah (26) from Chitral fought bravely before embracing martyrdom. The ISPR paid tribute to their sacrifice, emphasizing their role in securing the nation.

Dera Ismail Khan Operation Neutralizes Two Terrorists
In a separate operation in Maddi, Dera Ismail Khan District, security forces confronted another group of militants. A firefight broke out, and troops successfully eliminated two terrorists.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the site, confirming the militants’ involvement in past terrorist activities. The ISPR stated that follow-up sanitization operations are underway to clear the area of any remaining threats.

The ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain committed to eliminating terrorism from the country. These operations reflect the army’s resolve to maintain stability and prevent further attacks.
