Dua for Breaking the Fast (Iftar Dua)

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to say the following dua before eating at Iftar:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي لَكَ صُمْتُ وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَعَلَىٰ رِزْقِكَ أَفْطَرْتُ

Transliteration:
Allahumma inni laka sumtu wa bika aamantu wa ‘alayka tawakkaltu wa ‘ala rizq-ika aftartu.

Translation:
“O Allah! I fasted for You, I believe in You, I put my trust in You, and with Your sustenance, I break my fast.”

Dua for the Second Ashra of Ramadan (10th to 20th Ramadan)

The second Ashra (middle 10 days) of Ramadan is known for seeking forgiveness (Maghfirah).

اَسْتَغْفِرُاللّٰهَ رَبِّيْ مِنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ وَّأَتُوْبُ اِلَيْهِ

Transliteration:
Astagfirullaha Rabbi min kulli dhanbin wa atubu ilayh.

Translation:
“I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord, for all my sins, and I turn to Him in repentance.”
