Sindh Declares Public Holiday on April 4 for Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s Death Anniversary

The Sindh government has declared April 4 a public holiday to honor the 46th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. The announcement was made through an official notification issued by Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah.

Public Holiday Across Sindh

All provincial government offices, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous organizations, corporations, and local councils under Sindh’s administration will remain closed on April 4.

PPP’s Commemorative Gathering in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh

To mark the occasion, the PPP has planned a gathering in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, Bhutto’s final resting place. These annual gatherings serve as a tribute to Bhutto’s political contributions and his impact on Pakistan’s history.

Posthumous Nishan-e-Pakistan Award

In a separate event, President Asif Ali Zardari posthumously honored Zulfikar Ali Bhutto with the Nishan-e-Pakistan, the country’s highest civilian award.

The ceremony was attended by notable figures, including Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, and First Lady Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari. The event celebrated individuals who have made remarkable contributions to the nation.
