Islamabad: Train services in Balochistan have resumed after a 16-day suspension following a terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express. The train departed from Peshawar Cantt Railway Station, marking a significant milestone in restoring operations.
Federal Minister Amir Muqam was present at the station to bid farewell to passengers and offer prayers for their safe journey. The train carries 280 passengers, including 28 traveling directly from Peshawar to Quetta. It is expected to complete its 34-hour journey and reach Quetta by 5 PM the following day.
The train has been decorated with national flags, vibrant banners, and balloons. It will pass through Punjab and Sindh before reaching Balochistan, making it the only train that connects all four provinces.
