Madinah Region Police confirmed they responded promptly. The confrontation started when the woman tried to use an unauthorized walkway.
“When instructed by the officer to take a different route, she slapped him in defiance, prompting the officer to retaliate by slapping her multiple times,” Saudi Gazette reported.
A statement issued on March 29 by the Saudi General Directorate of Public Security affirmed that all necessary legal steps were being taken.
